Augmentation, reduction or reconstruction surgery using a silicone breast implant represents the beginning of a new stage of life for a woman. It represents a high rate of satisfaction among patients, providing an increase in their self-esteem and quality of life.

Silimed silicone gel mammary implants provide a natural, aesthetic result in unilateral or bilateral breast surgeries. Developed based on top-of-the-line technology, they are composed of an elastomer shell (envelope) filled with high-performance, cohesive silicone gel. This ensures the implant’s memory and elasticity and provides stable shapes.

The mammary implant does not have a useful life limit acknowledged by the scientific community. For this reason, a periodic clinical follow-up of the patient is recommended. Furthermore, the patient must be warned about the possibility of removal or replacement of the implant.

Silimed defines an average period of ten years as the expected useful life, but, this parameter can be modified whenever there is any reason to justify it. Clinical follow-up of these patients is recommended on an annual basis. The techniques currently available for evaluating the integrity of implants are: mammography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging.

Silimed offers implants for breast reconstruction to assists the body in recovering a natural look, correcting sequelae from injuries or diseases. The “teardrop” shape of Silimed implants imitates the original shape of the breast, with anatomical slope and projection.

With three heights, four projections and twelve shapes, the diversity of models offered is suitable for many different biotypes of women, allowing a more harmonious end result.
